How to read this table
- What people searched on Google — The exact query, as Search Console reports it.
- Page Google showed most — The URL that carried most of this query's impressions. When several pages share a query the count is in the next column.
- Pages shown — How many of your URLs Google showed for this query. Two or more is the cannibalization section's subject.
- Impressions — Times a result of yours appeared for this query over the window.
- Clicks — Clicks those impressions earned.
- CTR — Clicks divided by impressions.
- Average position — Averaged over every impression — 4.3 means the result sat around fourth place, sometimes higher, sometimes lower.
- Expected CTR — The share of clicks a result earns at that average position. A CTR far under it is a title problem.
- Clicks lost — Impressions × (expected CTR − CTR): what a better title would recover on this window. Empty for brand queries, which are not scored.
- Sales lost /mo — The sales behind the lost clicks: clicks lost × the share of your engaged visits that buy × your average order (Google Analytics, 12 months, your Analytics currency).
- Clicks, previous window — The same figure over the window before this one.
- Impressions, previous window — Empty when Google returned no row for the query then.
- Brand query — Yes when the query names the company — excluded from every acquisition score.
- Question — Yes for question-shaped queries — the prompts people also type into AI assistants.
- Intent — Transactional, commercial, informational or navigational, read from the wording.
Questions about this table
Why do the rows not add up to the totals on the report?
Google withholds the rare queries from the query list (they are still counted in the property totals), and the collection keeps the top rows by clicks. The report's coverage section says what share of the impressions the rows describe.
Why is the CTR of a first-place query only 8%?
Because Google's results page is busy: ads, a map, an answer box or an AI Overview can sit above the first organic result. Expected CTR is an average over ordinary result pages; a query far under it is worth a look at what Google shows above you.
Which rows should I work on first?
Sort by clicks lost: the top rows already rank and already get impressions, and only their title and description stand between them and the clicks. Then sort by position and look at 4-20 — the striking-distance section.
What does an empty previous window mean?
Google returned no row for the query in the previous window: it is new, or it had no impressions then. The trends section lists the new queries.
How fresh is this data?
It is the last data collected for your site — nothing is fetched live when you open this page. Each block of data is re-collected on its own schedule by the automatic tasks. The report page shows the collection status of every section, and the Re-collect all data button there starts a fresh round when you have applied your fixes.
Why does the total here differ from the number in the report?
It does not — the report simply shows the first 25 rows as a preview, and this page shows every row that was stored. What can differ is the number quoted in a check point: those are often counted over the whole domain by AkOOre's estimation system, while this table only holds the rows that were downloaded and kept.
How do sorting and paging work?
Click any column heading to sort by it; click it again to reverse the order. Rows with no value stay at the bottom either way. Pages hold 100 rows and keep your sort as you move between them, so the link you copy always reopens the same view.
What should I actually do with this table?
Use it to pick targets, not to admire numbers. Sort by the column that matches your goal, take the first handful of rows, and turn them into concrete work — a page to write, a link to ask for, a title to rewrite. The report's action plan already ranks the most urgent of those for you.
